Web Designer
Description
- Design visually engaging and accessible experiences for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to create alignment on messaging and overall solutions
- Present Insomniac on the web in visually stunning ways while maintaining a focus on accessibility and UX best practices
- Engage in constructive design critiques
- Deliver and present prototypes to cross-functional teams
- Have an opinion and participate in healthy debate on product and design decisions
Requirements
- Experience designing and prototyping in Figma. (Origami, Framer, or similar experience a bonus)
- Experience with motion design and tools (e.g., After Effects / Lottie)
- Deep knowledge of UX best practices, patterns, and requirements
- A strong design portfolio demonstrating knowledge of interaction design, responsive layout, typesetting, and motion
- Able to work independently and drive multiple projects at a time
- Embrace an iterative design process and are receptive to feedback. Progress over perfection
- Expert knowledge in a11y best practices
- 7+ years of work experience
- 4+ years of application, visual, and interaction design
- 4+ years experience with HTML/CSS/JS and collaborating with backend developers
- Preferably experience designing software for entertainment, media, gaming
- Portfolio of work examples required

- Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
- Must be willing to travel to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
