UX Designer
Description
The UX Designer will work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to apply our core Discogs styles and patterns to marketing and operations projects, and drive accessibility design efforts in order to provide music lovers with an inclusive user experience on Discogs. This is a highly collaborative and technical role!
What You’ll Accomplish

- Work with Experience Design and Experience Engineering team to maintain and adapt core design standards and flows across Discogs
- Drive UX design efforts in relation to accessibility, assistive technology, and universal design
- Collaborate with accessibility team to enable and execute accessible content to user interfaces for websites, mobile apps, and other electronic materials
- Collaborate with Product Managers to create mockups, wireframes, and user flows based on current project requirements
- Collaborate with Product Experience Team to incorporate research findings and industry best practices into designs
- Collaborate with front end engineers to iterate on designs and maintain visual consistency
- Perform usability testing of flow and design
- Create clean and simple user-centered web and mobile views for a high traffic music ecommerce platform that relies on community contributors
- Assist in the production of prototypes, concept sketches, and interaction designs using key tools such as Figma
- Collaborate with our Experience Engineering team to iterate on and adapt designs for web, mobile, and apps
- Participate in Experience Team reviews, sharing, brainstorms, and activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university, or equivalent work experience.
- Over 7 years related work experience (design experience.). Minimum 4 years of professional experience in digital accessibility
- Knowledge in Accessibility regulation. E-commerce design experience. Understanding of designing within complex legacy systems. UI design skills at high fidelity.
- Experience with web, mobile and responsive design. Adept with design tools such as Figma. Knowledge of CSS.
- Experience in user research and usability testing.
- Possess knowledge within your specialization to be able to guide and mentor team members.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment and ability to respond quickly to changing expectations.
