Product Marketing Lead - Spotify for Artists, Creator Promotion

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced product marketing leader to join the Creator Marketing team in New York - a cross-functional group dedicated to helping artists and their teams thrive. You’ll help craft the products we build for artists, labels, managers, and music marketers. And you’ll bring these products to market to improve their impact. Ultimately, you’ll be a key part of a team reimagining the way artists and their teams leverage the Spotify platform, share their art, and build their careers.
Central to the Spotify for Artists vision is the development of content promotion tools for artists and labels powered by Spotify’s deep knowledge of listener preferences and behaviors. We’re building a suite of products to help music marketers reach listeners and fans with creative, engaging, performant promotional formats, like Marquee, Canvas, and Discovery Mode. As a Product Marketing Lead, this role will shape the vision and narrative around these products, develop a team of product marketers, and serve as a cross-functional business lead on our Creator Promotion team.
What You'll Do
  • Lead a high-functioning product marketing squad, focused on developing, launching, and driving adoption for industry-leading tools for artists and music marketers
  • Build and implement marketing and go-to-market strategy across our content promotion portfolio, driving key business and customer metrics
  • Craft the high-level narrative and customer messaging strategy for our promotional products — and bring together Growth, Content, and Sales Marketing teams to take the strategy to market
  • Lead thinking and analysis to help us better understand music marketers’ needs, the competitive landscape, and what we should build next
  • Serve as a cross-functional business lead alongside Product, Design, Insights, and Engineering leads to represent Marketing for our Content Promotion business
  • Serve as a senior partner to our Commercial Partnerships, Sales, and Music Team to bring products to market thoughtfully and serve our customers
  • Develop marketing programs & campaigns to drive sales and product engagement in partnership with the wider Creator Marketing team
  • Own and drive a holistic product and communication strategy around a dedicated business line in coordination with the rest of the Creator Marketing team.


  • You have 10+ years experience in product marketing for a media, advertising, or tech company.
  • You love music.
  • You’ve launched and driven adoption for new advertising or marketing products and services, with ultimate accountability for a cross-functional effort, owning and achieving key KPIs.
  • You understand the marketing funnel and know how to optimize it at each stage.
  • You’ve worked with a Sales team, successfully enabling them with strategic marketing campaigns.
  • You’re a phenomenal communicator with experience conveying ideas to end users and engineering teams alike.
  • You’re comfortable developing marketing strategies using both quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • You understand the music ecosystem. In a former life, you’ve been an artist or worked closely with creators..
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
