Product Manager - Music

Spotify team

Description

We’re hiring a Product Manager to lead the Acquisition & Activation squad – the team responsible for onboarding, access, and campaign setup for one of our most widely used promotional tools. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at the center of Spotify’s creator strategy. You’ll be shaping how thousands of artists and their teams get started with promotion on Spotify, and building the systems that allow us to scale that experience globally.
The work is fast-moving, cross-functional, and strategic. You’ll partner with Engineering, Design, Product Insights, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to define product direction, solve for complexity, and ship meaningful improvements that drive growth for artists and revenue for Spotify.
What You'll Do
  • Own the roadmap for onboarding, access, and campaign setup.
  • Define and evolve permissions, roles, and eligibility across a wide range of customer types.
  • Build infrastructure and tooling that supports product expansion and self-serve scale.
  • Drive improvements to the campaign-building experience that balance usability and policy enforcement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Commercial Partnerships, and Marketing to ensure product readiness, compliance, and adoption.
  • Lead day-to-day development with your squad - working closely with Engineering, Design, and Insights to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Contribute to product strategy and planning across the broader artist promotion portfolio.

Requirements

Who You Are
  • You have 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager or in a comparable strategic role (e.g. product insights, analytics, or growth/ops)
  • You bring strong product instincts, clear thinking, and comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • You’re a natural communicator and collaborator – personable, proactive, and skilled at aligning diverse stakeholders.
  • You’ve worked on or near surfaces like onboarding flows, permissions systems, campaign tooling, or internal platforms.
  • You’re energized by building for creative users and want to work on something that directly helps artists succeed.
  • You lead with curiosity, humility, and a sense of momentum – and bring others along with you.
  • Bonus: You’re based near NYC and enjoy in-person collaboration occasionally (not required)
Where You'll Be
This role is based in New York City. We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
