Music Supervisor
Description
- Provide Music Supervision and licensing duties on broadcast commercials, digital content and variety series for agency clients.
- Work closely with Creative Directors to ensure that proposed music specs align with the vision of the client project and target audience.
- Provide ongoing creative music direction on client and agency work.
- Collaborate with Creative Directors and key stakeholders to recommend the best music options for client projects.
- Identify and source music from music producers, music house vendors, music labels and publishers.
- Attend all internal creative kickoff meetings and briefings for new projects.
- Liaise and communicate with internal teams (Accounts, Business Affairs, Creative, Production) on music related matters.
- Negotiate and manage budget for original and licensed music.
- Work closely with Business Affairs to ensure all music rights and usage are covered on client projects.
- Work closely with Producers during pre and post production to manage timelines and ensure all music deliverables are met.
- Oversee all creative and business aspects of music for all client projects.
- Attend final mix sessions as needed.
- Stay abreast of music and entertainment industry trends and attend industry events as required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in the music industry at a music label, studio, production company, publishing company or as a music producer.
- Extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry.
- Existing relationships with key music industry executives.
- Good organizational skills and problem-solving skills are a must.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Bachelors degree.
