Job Description
The Music Partnerships team looks after TikTok's relationships with all Artists and Labels. Our goal is to inspire creativity and foster long lasting relationships with our partners by providing things such as a white glove service, in depth content strategy, elevation opportunities, and accessibility to all that TikTok has to offer. In addition, we also oversee strategy and implementation of an artist-centric value proposition at TikTok, which includes elevation opportunities, establishing a series of artist education initiatives, driving artist communications plans, building and growing niche communities within the artist ecosystem through programs and events.
TikTok are looking for a Music Partnerships SoundOn Lead (UK) to identify, initiate, build and maintain relationships with emerging and established artists and independent labels. This role will focus on supporting partners across the TikTok and SoundOn platforms, improving the artist and music content ecosystem and ensuring partners are maximising engagement opportunities.
  • Manage a team that is platform and artist centric, and drives TikTok's content objectives in the UK
  • Grow SoundOn's partner base by identifying and onboarding artists and labels utilising data and performance metrics, your network of contacts and via strategic music initiatives
  • Provide strategic and operational support for artists and labels on SoundOn and TikTok including platform optimisation and best practices, bolstering engagement and product activation to inspire artists and improve their daily business
  • Manage and monitor content, overseeing and prioritising music releases, facilitating day-to-day escalations and troubleshooting music content issues, centralizing and communicating information to internal stakeholders
  • Establish a good working relationship with our cross-functional teams in Product, A&R, Programming, Marketing, and PR, serving as a music consultant as needed
  • Identify and track key metrics, and translate data into objectives, key results, insights and trends
  • Support Music Partnerships teams in cross-functional initiatives


  • Extensive music industry experience, with a demonstrated track record of finding emerging artists with world-class talent and commercial potential, and experience and networks within the independent label sector
  • You have a consistent track record in music marketing and operations, a deep understanding of the music industry, and have built relevant contacts with labels and artists
  • You are well organised, dedicated, with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines and pay outstanding attention to detail, using data to produce actionable reports on content performance
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships externally and internally
  • Experience in managing a high-performing team, working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • You are a great teammate and always have a positive and humble attitude
