Music Operations Associate, Content Strategy and Acquisitions
Description
- Partner closely with music business development teams to ensure contracts are routed appropriately and executed according to timelines
- Maintain onboarding of new music partners (i.e. publishers, labels) across geographies as needed
- Develop a high level understanding of deal specifics and create deal summaries of key takeaways/nuances
- Maintain ongoing tracking and reporting of deals as they move through the deal lifecycle
- Support full payment process for music partners and troubleshooting invoice issues as they are arise
- Collaborate with deal teams/operations teams to ensure music deals are accurately inputted into deal tracking tools
- Own deal operation issues and address ad hoc questions from the music business development team and cross-functional stakeholders
- Conduct ongoing reviews of current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in media companies, technology companies or relevant industry
- Experience in technology or media industry and/or management consulting, investment banking or finance
- Experience identifying all process flow steps for execution and depth of experience of process management
- Experience in problem solving, providing business insights and recommendations using data and owning business requirements
- Experience supporting complex contract negotiations and identifying operational impact of specific agreement terms
- Experience with designing and/or working with business management tools
- Experience in data visualizations and building scalable reporting tools
- Experience collaborating and leading cross-functionally with experience building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, high-expectation environment
- Quantitative analytical and communication skills
