Description

We are searching for a highly skilled and creative Junior Editor with a passion for music and music based content to join our dynamic Original Content and Production team. Reporting to the Director, Post Production, in this role you will play a crucial part in shaping our promotional content for connected televisions (CTV), including artist promo short form and social content. This role will also be responsible for media management, full edit workflow, and minor color correction and finishing.
While the position is within the Original Content and Production team, it is highly specialized in editing and enhancing promotional and social content in particular. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting compelling visual stories across various platforms, including promotional materials, social media content, marketing campaigns, and CTV productions.
This is a full-time position and is based at our office in New York City.
As a Member Of Our Team, You Will
  • Edit Impactful Videos: Craft cohesive and visually compelling narratives that align with our brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Creatives: Work closely with our creative team to conceptualize and execute video projects. Your input will be essential in bringing our ideas to life.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery. Tight deadlines are common, and your ability to juggle tasks will be crucial.
  • Utilize Adobe After Effects to perform VFX and beauty enhancements. Expertise in this area is essential to elevating our content.
  • Bring a unique tone of voice to our edit team. Allow your creativity and style to manifest through your work.

Requirements

This Describes You
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey ideas and receive feedback.
  • Strong time management skills: the ability to manage your time across multiple fast-moving projects and prioritize tasks.
  • A high level of interpersonal and presentational skills, the ability to vocalize thoughts and suggestions and constructively shape the conversation.
  • Understanding of social media strategies, working hand in hand with social teams to deliver reactive engaging content.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling through visual media.
Requirements
  • 3+ years proven experience working as a music or pop culture editor with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of content.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, including beauty and light VFX work.
  • A content reel highlighting past work including any and all multi-camera performance, promotional, and commercial edits.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken, is highly beneficial.
  • A relevant degree is preferable.

Benefits & Perks

The pay range for this position is: $75k – 80k per year. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Transparency Law.
This is a full-time position based on-site/in our New York office. Vevo currently operates in a hybrid work model and requires all employees, who have not been designated as "remote" to be in the office/studio a minimum of 3 days a week.
