EU Music Content Manager

TikTok are looking for a Music Content Manager to manage the in-app music operation including the management and curation of music, artists and community across a number of key European markets. This role will work on improving the music content ecosystem on the platform, with a keen focus on our priority content verticals and user groups. Responsibilities also include the management of and growing the artist community within TikTok through close XFN collaboration across teams.
- Curate and localise in-app music content for a number of key EU markets including SE, NL, PL, RO, HU, IL and GR
- Analyze data and performance metrics on in-app music content consumption
- Utilise data to make informed decisions with goal of improving overall music consumption
- Implement music content & community strategy across these markets
- Monitor delivery of music content from all artists and labels, identifying songs with viral potential
- Identify trending music challenge concepts and collaborate with key internal teams to amplify
- Oversee the music community building and content operation in these markets
- Engage with artists & music creators to drive their music performance on the app
- Facilitate day-to-day escalations and troubleshooting of music content & community issues
- Optimise music discovery and accessibility in-app by working with internal systems and teams - Develop on-ground initiatives and promotions to drive music engagement within the app
- Support Music Partnership team with identification of priority music
- Support Operations team through being the main Music Content POC
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience in music programming or music editorial positions
- Native/advanced fluency in English & Swedish (any additional European languages would be an advantage)
- Comprehensive understanding of the European music industry landscape
- Familiarity with a wide range of music and different types of audience groups
- Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills, able to interpret data, identify problems, and come up with constructive solutions
- Experience with managing music campaigns and initiatives from conception to completion
- Excellent XFN relationship building skills and established connections within the music industry
- Deep understanding of internet cultures and subcultures
- Knowledge of music licensing
