The Business Development & Brand Partnerships team drives strategic, revenue-generating deals for the company and its roster of genre-diverse artists. 88rising partners with like-minded brands that champion diverse storytelling to create unique collaborations spanning artists, music, events and co-branded product drops, and has worked with the world’s most beloved brands across all verticals including McDonald's, Disney, Samsung, Guess, Johnnie Walker, Netflix, AT&T, Toyota, Panda Express, Din Tai Fung, and more. We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Director, Brand Partnerships who will be responsible for managing the post-sale partnership/account team, alongside project execution and client management of all brand partnerships in the US and Asia post-sale from creative ideation, execution of the branded deliverables, to performance and post-mortem evaluation of the entire partnership.
Responsibilities: Team managerial role, managing the post-sale partnerships management/account team of partnership managers Responsible for developing and launching an organized partnership management system for efficient tracking of new and existing partnership deliverables. Ability to allocate workload among partnership managers effectively. In addition to managerial duties, the Director role also works directly on key partnerships and with clients directly - and is a multi-varied role that involves both daily partnership management, managerial duties and strategic guidance for the team Develop and manage relationships with key 88rising brand clients and agency partners. Responsible for leading the managing and delivering of artist/brand partnership deliverables post-sale individually and for the team at-large until successful execution of projects. Deliver revenue-generating opportunities and impactful partnerships for the company Collaborate with business development team in pitching new ideas, creation of deck materials and client calls and meetings. Assist in new leads and strategy in brand, agency and industry relationships Lead the creation of highly effective and impactful pitch, sales and partnerships decks and materials Track partnership deliverables through an organized system, and effective at communicating key updates concisely to internal and external parties Develop partnership reporting for internal and external clients with a knack for analytics, especially social metrics and KPIs. Self-starter who can communicate key learnings to wider teams and continually improve partnership management project after project Lead client meetings over calls, virtual video conferences and in-person to deliver on partnerships sold, and ensure a superior client experience to renew clients into new deals Responsible for ensuring tasks have clear objectives, timings, ownership and deliverables. Ability to drive projects daily through to completion and managing internal and external stakeholders to get things done without managerial authority Coordinate all aspects of branded partnerships deliverables execution, able to lead multiple projects at once Be able to maintain effective communication and work cross-functionally including creative, production, music, marketing, artist management, touring, product, legal, licensing, executive team and external partners. Able to make judgment calls under limited guidance with quickly shifting nature of projects Responsible for overall client satisfaction, the partnership team, and successful execution of branded projects measured internally and externally

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience with a proven track record in brand partnerships/marketing, music partnerships, agency or related experience, and including experience in managing direct reports. US experience required, Asia experience a bonus
  • A self-starter and innovative team player, with a pulse of the latest music industry, brands, advertising, web3/NFTs, and culture trends to encourage new opportunity development at the company. A knack for communicating and bringing fresh ideas to the table
  • Excellent communication, writing, presentation and organizational skills and ability to lead client relationships as well as cross-functional internal communications. Proficient in Google Suite tools (Docs, Slides, Sheets), MS Office and productivity suites
  • Strong understanding of digital content, music and video production processes, timelines and coordination
  • Ability to work under high pressure situations and under limited guidance. Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends if needed and for occasional calls with Asia-based teams
  • Candidate is ideally based in Los Angeles, CA, or remote candidates will also be considered. If remote, flexibility to travel to Los Angeles and other locations will be required for production shoots
