We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, tech-savvy, enthusiastic, and hyper organized individual to join our Paramount Creative Music Strategy team. This operations-leaning role will directly report to the West Coast Vice President and assist with global music publishing administration, licensing out Paramount-owned music, commercial music distribution and consumer products music strategy across the umbrella of Paramount cable network brands like MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and more.
The successful candidate is dynamic, eager to learn, brings suggestions and solutions to the table, understands the importance of miniscule details and how they apply to the larger picture, and does the above and more in a vibrant and forward-thinking environment. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, vet and process all Paramount composer deliverables including metadata, publishing information, physical files, and talent contracts/agreements
  • Sustain a regular publishing and administrative registrations workflow with both internal and external stakeholders for all brands’ originally composed music
  • Maintain multiple tracking reports and advise status of metadata delivery to department stakeholders
  • Assist team in researching rights and tracking/executing licensing out opportunities for the Paramount Consumer Products Division and third-party sync requests
  • Gather label copy, physical files, and artwork to assist in commercial releases and soundtrack partnerships
  • Collate various project data points to help populate a consistently growing internal archive
  • Assist with additional music operations projects as needed

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience, preferably at a music publishing company, entertainment company, television network, production company, or music production studio
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with music, data management, business affairs, rights & clearances, or licensing departments a plus
  • Must be able to communicate company requirements to internal and external stakeholders effectively and persuasively
  • Ability to accurately analyze contract and license agreements
  • General understanding of the legal issues that affect music rights
  • Willingness to learn new processes and data input methods as necessary
  • Extreme attention to detail as it relates to metadata and publishing information
  • Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Working knowledge of Airtable software a huge plus

Additional Information
Hiring Salary Range: $53,000.00 - 62,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
