Content Operations Specialist
Description
A key part of DistroKid’s mission is to modernize the music industry and make life easier for artists and partners with amazing technology, living up to our reputation as the fastest and highest quality distributor in the market today. The Content Operations Specialist’s main duty is to take on crucial tasks that contribute to the operation of this technology, coordinating with artists and stores to transfer information, and troubleshooting and escalating issues with content delivery and DistroKid products. Specialists start on one or two main tasks, with responsibilities expanding as workload allows.
Responsibilities:
- Compile and deliver all requests to edit artist profiles in stores (mapping requests, profile information, etc)
- Complete manual content delivery tasks on DistroKid admin page
- Coordinate with stores and/or teammates to troubleshoot and identify music delivery and product bugs, escalating issues to Content Operations Supervisor as needed
- Manual Content Management (instant gratification, name change requests, Content ID admin, etc.)
- Special projects and tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Proficient computer skills: setting up email accounts, switching between different programs, navigating streaming services and apps (e.g., Spotify, Apple, YouTube, etc)
- Understands, or can quickly learn: Zendesk, Chrome, Slack, TextExpander (software), streaming service CMS (e.g., Spotify, Apple, YouTube, etc)
- Excellent communication skills: both verbal and written
- Strong research skills: able to independently find solutions to problems
- Have to have been in your current role for at least 1 year
- Experience in agile related tools like JIRA and Confluence a plus
