Big Data Engineer (f/m/x)
Description
- Teamwork and collaboration with data engineers to build future data infrastructure services and to contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes
- Close collaboration with data analysts and product managers on delivering solutions and tools to stakeholders and data consumers
- Enable company wide engineering teams to integrate new data pipelines and extend product capabilities through analytics
- Build, maintain, and execute ETL pipelines to process data and store it in a data warehouse system making it accessible to stakeholders
- Develop and maintain globally available APIs and services on GCP
- Promote engineering best practices and site reliability engineering principles and help peers to learn and improve
Requirements
- Track record in creating and/or scaling a data infrastructure
- In depth understanding about relevant technical concepts and technologies around data infrastructure management, backend development, and data warehousing
- Hands-on experience in operating large-scale applications on Google Cloud and good knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g. BigQuery, Airflow, pySpark, dbt)
- A good sense for privacy protection and awareness of the existing regulations (i.e. GDPR & CPPA)
- Passion for data, software engineering, and architecture
- You value code quality and maintainability
- An agile mindset and enthusiasm working in an international team with passionate and experienced professionals
