SoundCloud is looking for an Artist Marketing intern to join the Digital Marketing team in our New York office.
10 Week - Full-Time Paid Summer Internship
Candidate must be located in the New York City area and comfortable coming into the office.
This role will allow a student to gain first-hand music industry experience in a variety of areas, including but not limited to; digital marketing, artist marketing, and release planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement marketing strategies across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Tik Tok and other online destinations
- Play an integral role in artist development for established and on the rise musicians
- Ideate creative ways to keep artists engaged across the digital landscape
- Assist in the creation of various social media assets with our creative team
- Compile internal and external facing recaps around active advertising campaigns for priority artists
- Attend weekly release planning and artist marketing meetings
- Work directly with artists and their management teams to help execute release launches
- Regularly collaborate with DSP relations, account managers, and creative to build, plan and execute full scale artist releases
Requirements
- Must be a current student or recent graduate from an accredited university
- Must be able to commit to working 40hrs/week for 10 weeks (June 13th - Aug 19th)
- Have a strong understanding of social media platforms (especially Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, etc,) and the type of content that performs best on each platform
- Have a passion for independent creators and the SoundCloud platform
- Strong writing and verbal skills
- Be passionate about music, have an interest across multiple genres; focus on up and coming talent is a plus
