Artist & Label Partnerships Manager
Description
- Represent Spotify’s Artist and Label Partnerships department externally, attending meetings with the industry, including label partners, managers and artists to find opportunities and cultivate partnerships.
- Track, review, and evaluate artist and label priorities, as well as culturally relevant moments, and identify in collaboration with a cross-functional team those artists that Spotify will support in on and off platform promotions.
- Work directly with the artists, their label and their management teams to gather insights and develop executive-level priority campaigns, from brief development, conception, production all the way through execution, analysis and recap.
- Develop relationships, collaborate and advocate with internal partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams on industry education, with an expectation of speaking on behalf of Spotify at key industry events both online and in-person.
- Lead and / or mentor members of the team, guiding them through campaign planning, relationship building, and cross-functional process execution.
- Inform internal product development and company strategy through the lens of an independent artist or label, advocating for this sector of the industry both internally and externally.
Requirements
- You have 5 + years of demonstrated ability building global marketing campaigns or complex project management and a proven leader able to manage multiple top priority projects simultaneously.
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in Nashville, or working closely with Nashville-based artists, labels, and managers.
- You have an established passion for the Nashville music community and are in tune to various genres and cultures of music coming out of Nashville, including, without limitation, Country, Christian/Gospel, and Folk/Americana.
- Understanding of the music industry and experience including label and/or management.
- Exhibit a clear understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and current trends and innovations with strong relationships throughout the industry.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of the Nashville label sector across all genres and key players in the industry, with the ability to identify growth areas and difficulties across this space.
- You have an exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships.
- You are an open, transparent and clear communicator.
- You are well organized and strive for operational excellence with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines and pay exceptional attention to detail.
- You are comfortable in very fast paced, intense work environments and flourish with a team that moves quickly.
- An optimistic-minded, self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and interest in problem solving.
- Able to easily adapt and learn new skills as circumstances require.
- Willingness to travel and participate in night and weekend events.
- Located in Nashville, or willing to relocate.
