Social and Digital Media Coordinator
Description
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop and implement a robust editorial calendar.
- Craft promotional copy to promote all concerts and events.
- Create videos that showcase our talented musicians, dedicated staff, and enthusiastic audiences, helping us promote our concerts.
- Develop educational content to enrich the concert experience and deepen the audience's knowledge of the music.
- Work with colleagues in other departments, including Education and Development, to tell a balanced and holistic organizational story across all channels.
- Stay on top of social media trends and recommend opportunities for our organization to participate.
- Monitor and respond to inbound messaging and customer service issues on our social media platforms in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Use Hootsuite to schedule content and evaluate post-performance.
- Coordinate with marketing team on paid social campaigns.
- During concert weeks, you will be responsible for:
- Attending at least one rehearsal to capture behind-the-scenes content to include photos and videos of rehearsal, and/or interviews with musicians, guest artists, and the conductor. Rehearsals take place Tuesday through Thursday of a concert week, 7:00- 10:00 p.m.
- Being available to react quickly to promote timely news stories, media appearances, and real-time photos from the guest artist and staff members.
- Attending at least one concert performance to capture and execute high- quality content for our social media platforms.
- Engaging with the audience to introduce relevant hashtags, ensure active community involvement on our social media pages, and respond to any questions or comments.
- Ensure all concerts and events are listed on community calendars.
- Collaborate with marketing team to evaluate our digital promotion strategies and identify new opportunities for digital partnerships and promotional opportunities.
- Contribute to the News and Stories section of the website, pitching story ideas and executing posts as assigned.
