As a Product Marketing Manager on the Shazam / Music team, you are passionate about music and supporting artists, big and small. You’ll define business requirements, go-to-market strategies, and work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering and Design to scope, position, and launch innovative new products that change the way users discover and experience music. We’re looking for an inspired and creative individual to help lead an exciting new music program. In this role you’ll work on unprecedented, innovative greenfield projects and implement new features for music products beloved by hundreds of millions of users worldwide. We expect that you will:
- Serve as program liaison and evangelist for stakeholders, including artists, industry partners, and customers.
- Drive internal and outbound marketing strategy; partnering with software engineering and product designers to align on business requirements, the overall roadmap, and go-to-market strategy.
- Successfully navigate ambiguity, influence, and lead cross-functional groups.
- Demonstrate a team-first mentality and excel at encouraging a collaborative, open, and inclusive environment.
This role is located in our New York City office.
Requirements
- Experience in marketing, product, or business development roles for consumer products/services. Music industry experience a plus.
- Proven track record for launching platforms/programs from the ground up.
- Experience working directly with internal teams, from engineering to design, to influence the product roadmap and represent the customer across the product lifecycle.
- Affinity for storytelling and knack for developing effective narratives that clearly articulate and position product vision specifics.
- Solution-driven, standout colleague, with a sense of humor, curiosity, and strong desire to learn and grow.
