Senior Social Editor, Music
Description
- Develop, refine, and oversee the voice of Complex Social (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) on all of our social platforms, exhibiting excellent judgment and audience-sensitive framing
- Responsible for developing strategy and rollouts for all programs, shows, and podcasts that live under the Complex Music vertical.
- Oversee and execute daily posting and engagement across Complex Music channels
- Ideate and support the creation of social-first ideas and tactics in partnership with editorial, video, production, and promo team for all content that lives across Music socials
- Serve as the point-person on all social goals (growth, traffic, views, and engagement) for Complex Music and is accountable for providing vertical-specific tactics, strategic pivots and added direction when needed
- Work closely with Music editorial team and collaborate cross-functionally across all Complex Networks internal departments, serving as key social lead for Music and other verticals as needed
- Manage workflow of editorial social posts on Complex Music, working with the branded social team to coordinate posting and schedules
- Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly analytics and performance, providing optimizations as necessary
- Help maintain and uphold a healthy and positive culture for the social team
- Provide guidance to junior members of the team for execution and training
- Manage junior editors as needed
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience, preferably with experience working for a digital publisher or brand
- Deep understanding of Complex content, tone, and voice
- Positive, intuitive/proactive, and collaborative team player
- Strong writing and communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and quick decision-making skills
- Must be willing to work nights and occasional weekends/holidays for coverage
- Robust knowledge of current events + pop culture + sports + music.
- Possess a deep understanding of all social media platforms. (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat)
- Strong understanding of analytics and social media trends across platforms
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
