ABOUT THE ROLE Shore Fire Media is looking for a sharp and ambitious senior publicist to join our team in both NY and LA. We’re looking for a strategist with a deep knowledge of pop culture, the music industry and the media landscape, and has the ability to handle a multi-faceted client roster that may include some or all of the following: artist campaigns across genres, events, festivals, films, authors, entrepreneurs, non-profits, brands, creators, start-ups and more.

WHAT YOU’LL DO •Jump into leading multiple publicity campaigns on day one
•Play key role in campaign brainstorms and strategy sessions.
•Conceive and draft key writing: press notes, press releases, pitch letters, media alerts, talking points, etc.
•Oversee campaign reports and press clippings.
•Pitch and secure major interviews, TV/radio appearances, reviews and stories for clients.
•Build out engaging angles, narratives and opportunities around our clients.
•Schedule, set-up and facilitate in-person, virtual, and/or phone interviews, conferences and artist appearances with media partners. Oversee logistics of appearances, interviews, showcases, album releases parties and events.
•Client communication: lead conference calls, strategize and troubleshoot
•Coordinate client activities and press schedules with teams
•Keep track of all online client activity - monitor social media, websites, and other pages daily
•Contribute to our media databases by sharing updates, changes and additions

Requirements

WHAT YOU HAVE •A minimum of five years of music or entertainment PR experience
•You have led PR campaigns
•Bachelor’s degree
•Established relationships with major media decision makers
•Ability to conceptualize and generate meaningful press campaigns
•Exemplary writing, communication and storytelling skills
•Must excel in time management, pay attention to details, take initiative and problem solve in a demanding, fast paced work environment
•Ability to understand and anticipate industry trends that will inform day-to-day functions
•Insatiable curiosity for pop culture, and a voracious consumer of media and news.
