Role Summary The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for creating best-in-class social media content for the Rockettes, the Christmas Spectacular, and the MSG Entertainment brand, with a focus on creating original content for emerging platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels. The ideal candidate will have experience creating content utilizing their skills in design, photo and video, and possess a deep under-standing of how people digest and engage with social content. This position will collaborate with the social strategy team to develop content for the Rockettes year-round brand presence online, the Christmas Spectacular, and other MSGE brand initiatives.
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
  • Deep understanding of all major social platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.), with the ability to best tailor the appropriate creative for the most effective results.
  • Assist in and often take the lead on the ideation and production a high volume of best-in-class, on-brand content that is authentic and relatable.
  • Real-time design of social-first assets by channel— including but not limited to short video, timelapses, GIFs, dynamic text and animation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external creative stakeholders and resources, as needed.
  • Recognize trends, leverage emerging technology and conduct competitive research.
  • Have a passion for live entertainment, dance, pop culture, and media.
  • Live, real-time shoot coverage onsite

Requirements

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years’ experience working in a social media creator role in entertainment, live events or agency setting in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce content that resonates across social platforms.
  • Proficient in social photography and working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere.
  • Versatile interpersonal skills and professionalism to work across multiple environments and departments, including interaction with the Rockettes.
  • Detail-oriented with a track record of managing multiple projects at once and delivering on time.
  • Eagerness to create and test fun, engaging original content for a rapidly growing fanbase on the most dynamic social media platforms today
  • Travel to video and photo shoots as needed, usually NYC-based.

Education Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
