SUMMARY:
The Script Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day production workflow for writing staff, being a liaison to the production team and organizing information for casting and records.
Sony Pictures Animation is a pre-production animation studio based in Culver City, California, creating both feature animation and animated series with artists from around the world.   • Take notes during writer's meetings, story note meetings, record meetings and animatic reviews to distribute.
  • Ensure that executive notes are received in a timely manner, accurately transcribed, and saved in the appropriate format.
  • When needed, coordinates with storyboard production to organize temp records.
  • Generate physical scripts for recording sessions (record drafts), as well as pickup and ADR sheets.
  • Conform scripts to edited dialogue and action of all animatics, locked picture, and final mixed picture.
  • Responsible for proofreading, filing, cataloging, and distributing all premises, outlines, script drafts and revisions.
  • Update and organize files and database of all premises, outlines and drafts of each script, including submissions.
  • Track pickup and ADR lines.
  • Work in conjunction with the Line Producer, Casting, Music, and Talent Relations departments to schedule cast records efficiently.
  • Surface potential writing and scheduling issues to Line Producer and/or Production Manager.
  • Keep abreast of notes meetings and regularly elevate information appropriately to Line Producer and/or Production Manager.
  • Coordinate the writing schedule and distribute and update the weekly script status report; give script progress updates at regular production meetings.
  • Track and provide cast list with line counts for script drafts to other production staff.
  • Solid understanding of Final Draft, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of previous TV animation production experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with partner studios.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment.

Benefits & Perks

The anticipated base salary for this position is $25.00/hour to $31.00/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
