Description

We are looking for a Sales Director to provide sound commercial leadership to the product team. You will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our company’s commercial opportunities are evaluated appropriately.
Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We are looking for a seasoned sales director who has a proven track record in selling digital products (B2B) with great knowledge of the music industry. You will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with prospective clients, establishing their business requirements and ultimately securing new business.
You will be able to communicate current trends effectively to key internal teams to drive new business and stay ahead of the curve. You will be expected to consistently review the market through data analysis and apply that to all areas of your role.
The focus of your role will include the following:
Identify key developments and trends within the music industry
Work closely with the Product Manager to tailor the commercial proposition around the product roadmap
Set the foundation to scale the sales department in different geographical regions
Actively able to generate revenue by promoting our existing assets
**Responsibilities **
Managing full sales process lifecycle: owning territory, identifying and prioritising prospects and engaging at a senior level using a range of business development skills, understanding requirements, conveying and demonstrating product capabilities and benefits, facilitating deep dive product capability Q&A sessions, managing objections and hurdles, negotiating contracts and closing deals
Build and manage all stages of sales pipeline to consistently hit quarterly and annual targets
Contribute to go-to-market strategy by monitoring market data, competitive products and prospect feedback
Convey product feature requests from clients to Product Management team
Forecast sales, client launches and revenue on an ongoing and consistent basis
Build and maintain expertise on competitive products and services

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sales Director/BD Director or similar leadership role
Proven experience in managing the sales floor (7+ years as Director)
Deep knowledge of streaming services and the music Industry
Strong B2B experience in selling digital products/distribution
Knowledge of international market is desirable
