Sales & Business Development Associate [Fully Remote]

Our team is currently looking for a passionate sales and partnerships representative focused on the music industry to help build brand awareness and secure regular job postings to our site. This role will be primarily responsible for generating leads, closing new business, and meeting monthly sales goals. The candidate will need to have comfortability with providing presentations and product demonstrations for recruiting professionals at various agencies and music-related organizations around the world.
The music industry is a dynamic marketplace that encompasses a wide range of various job opportunities; from a studio engineer to a software developer. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have an understanding of the music industry, talent acquisition processes, sales operations, and superb interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly sales goals via paid job postings on MusicCareers
  • Support post-sales recaps and insights for future job posting evaluations and insights
  • Participate in weekly collaborative meetings developing concepts to improve growth opportunities
  • Develop documentation and presentations for all communications
  • Present, promote, and sell packages/services
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to leads through cold outreach
  • Giving sales presentations to a wide range of prospective music industry-related clients
  • Answering client questions about terms, products, prices, and availability
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the vertical/market’s potential, track sales and status reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field
  • Experience in sales or a client-facing role in the music or recruiting industry
  • Proficient in English (writing/speaking)
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ​​Strong project management skills
  • Deep passion for the music community and culture
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and partners
  • Experience using Google Workplace for a variety of tasks
  • Competency in Asana (bonus)
  • Comfortable being accessible quickly via business communication software like Slack
We expect the role to fill about 8 hours per week, spread throughout the working day. If you are a high performer then we are open to increasing the time commitment.
