Summary
The Royalties Specialist is responsible for accurately preparing publishing royalties for distribution including but not limited to allocating royalty statements, collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure accuracy, and working with third parties to resolve royalty-related issues. Additionally, this role will compare multiple sources of data and update records consistently.
Responsibilities
Support Publishing with retrieving and allocating statements for publishing payments
Track down statements and do outreach
Regularly update internal database
Identify and communicate royalty issues to client services team and/or third parties as necessary
Work closely with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely payments
May be responsible for ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

Qualifications
High School Diploma and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field, STEM major preferred
Previous experience in music publishing royalties
Excellent organizational skills and ability to be highly detail-oriented
Excellent technical and analytical experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to follow through
Ability to manage projects at a high volume
Ability to work with staff of all levels
