The role
ITV Cymru Wales plays a vital role in Welsh life, providing high quality independent news and current affairs for viewers in Wales. We have a rare opportunity for a Production Support Coordinator to join the ITV Cymru Wales team in Cardiff. As a Production Support Coordinator you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and organisational support to both the Welsh Language and Network Programmes teams. You will be working on specific commissions as required to ensure all requirements for those programmes are fulfilled. You’ll be a team player who can learn quickly and can prioritise your workload. We want you to support the team making programming so we are looking for someone who can talk to people at all levels and can pay attention to detail. You’ll learn valuable skills that will really help you in your future career.

Requirements

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
  • Fluent Welsh speaker
  • Exceptional organisational skills and demonstrate the ability to multi-task and prioritise and delegate as appropriate
  • A self starter demonstrating the ability to use initiative and judgement to deal with sometimes complex questions and issues as they occur.
  • Confident, calm & friendly manner maintaining a positive attitude, whilst working under pressure to tight deadline
  • Demonstrate an approach to work that is characterised by commitment, motivation and energy;
  • Ability to get the best out of people and to work as part of a successful multi-skilled team.
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn new skills and adopt new ways of working.
  • Good understanding of technology, including experience using google docs/google software
  • Passionate about working in the TV industry
  • Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
  • Provide support for the Welsh language and network programmes department at ITV Cymru Wales;
  • Responsible for booking filming logistics including camera operators and editors
  • Responsible for booking logistics including arranging travel, accommodation and hire cars;
  • Responsible for post programme paperwork including music cue sheets and 3rd party material;
  • Liaise with the Producers to ensure delivery of programme promos, billings, synopses and subtitles;
  • Assist production teams achieving Albert Accreditation;
  • Providing support to the team in the form of research, transcribing and sourcing props/filming locations.
  • Process programme related payments through Procurement, Expenses & Talent Payment systems;
  • Media Management
  • Deal with sensitive content and liaise with third party organisations and other parts of ITV/S4C
