The Personalization team makes deciding what to play next easier and more enjoyable for every listener. From Daily Mix to Discover Weekly, we’re behind some of Spotify’s most-loved features. We built them by understanding the world of music and podcasts better than anyone else. In this role, you will define and drive new use cases, or verticals, in Search. At Spotify, we have an ever growing catalog of audio content, as well as creator and user base. With this, we see opportunities to build more targeted search capabilities and experiences. How do we optimize and tailor search for specific intents and make sure we can support new types of content? You will work with initiatives having direct business impact and improving the experience for our users. The Search Product Area consists of teams primarily based in London and Stockholm, with highly skilled members across product, engineering, design, and product insights. You’ll interact closely with other teams within the Personalization mission that look after other user-facing features, like Home, personalized sets, voice interactions, and more.
What You'll Do
  • Help build an outstanding audio search experience
  • Work with the team to articulate the vision and setting strategy and roadmap
  • Define and analyze metrics that guide the success of your team, as a part of Search and Spotify
  • Collaborate with team members to unlock new capabilities in our Search experience, especially when it comes to serving podcast and talk content, along with music
  • Make sure the team focuses on the most impactful work, helping highly skilled engineers to deliver value
  • Work in a data informed way, using both qualitative and quantitative research

Requirements

Who You Are
  • Proven experience working as a Product Manager in large scale, user-facing applications of Search or Recommendations
  • Past experience working with Machine Learning powered products
  • Experienced in setting and executing on a product backlog:, balancing innovation, with short- and long-term goals
  • Highly capable of formulating and communicating product vision and strategy, whether it be to your team or to senior partners
  • You have worked in, and are interested in, building and supporting inclusive teams
