About the job/role
As Post-Production Manager at WildBrain Spark, you will facilitate an essential managerial function across all in-house productions ranging from owned & operated to 3rd party productions. You will be responsible for supporting the Post-Production Team Members and all organisational aspects of post-production including scheduling, budgeting, administration, and ensuring all content is delivered on time and on budget in conjunction with the Head of Post-Production and Senior members of the Post-Production Team. This role reports to the Head of Post-Production.
Responsibilities
- Working within the Post-Production Team and closely with the Production Management Team, acting as a liaison between departments, overseeing resourcing and workload requirements of team members and administrative needs of the Post-Production Department.
- Create effective budgets and schedules for post-production.
- Tracking costs and purchasing
- Negotiating with suppliers/agencies/freelancers for costs and rates.
- Ensuring all post-production paperwork and approvals are in place (contracts, new vendor forms, music cue sheets, deliverable documentation etc.).
- Processing invoices
- Plays a key role in refining post-production processes, ensuring the adoption of efficient processes.
Requirements
Qualifications
- A proven track-record of successfully delivering multiple, complex projects with knowledge of all aspects of development, production, and post-production.
- Experience of budget creation, management, and Excel Sheets
- A team-player and collaborative attitude and the ability to help cross-functional teams.
- Experience in working within a post-production environment and a good knowledge of processes related to various aspects (live-action, animation, sound editing, motion graphics).
- Experience of production management systems, such as Hive, Monday.com and/or any similar software
- High level of organisation and prioritisation
- Approachable and communicative, able to convey crucial information in a timely manner to people across multiple different teams/companies and with different levels of post-production understanding
- Solution focused and proactive
- Motivated to learn, grow, and succeed
- Experience and competence with Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic understanding of NLE video editing software and DAW audio software (Adobe Premiere and Protocols are a plus but not required)
- A good understanding of delivery formats and AV file types
