Description

FACTORY 92 is passionately-run, competitively-driven and synergistically-diversified music PR, marketing and consulting agency, with its own record label and artist management division (MASSIVE 92), based in Hamburg, Germany. We are offering a paid 3-month internship at our office in Hamburg, Germany, starting on 1. April or 1. May 2022.
As an intern at FACTORY 92 you will not be brewing coffee. We promise hands on experience with music PR, marketing and export, and a real opportunity for you to grow your music industry and media networks on the German and European level.
You will be placed in Hamburg, and join the FACTORY 92 team during the course of the internship in order to support fields such as:
Festival and Tour PR & MARKETING Support our PR and Marketing managers and coordinators with promoting and marketing festivals and tours for clients such as MCT, FKP Scorpio, SZIGET Festival, EXIT Festival, Balaton Sound and Sea Star Festival
Radio Plugging Support our radio pluggers with plugging single and album releases to German public, private and college/online radio stations for clients such as City Slang, Secretly Canadian, Dead Oceans, Sub Pop, Grönland, Cargo Records, Merge, Ink Music, Viva Con Agua, Secret City, V2 Records, Captured Tracks, Crunchy Frog and Glassnote
Main responsibilities: The tasks delegated to the intern will include, but are not limited to:
  • Updating project budgets and monitoring spending
  • Clipping and collecting campaign results
  • Drafting campaign reports
  • Setting-up and sending out newsletters
  • Coordinating travels in relation to international projects
  • Taking part in meetings, and keeping protocol
  • Translating texts from German to English or vice-versa
  • Update documents and our website
  • Research tasks
Further internship details:
  • Term is fixed for a 3-month period April-June 2022 or May-July 2022
  • Internship is full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Internship requires you to work out of Hamburg, Germany
  • There will be an internship compensation

Namely the GSA region (Germany, Switzerland and Austria). We thus currently work for clients such as SZIGET, MCT (tours with the likes of Gorillaz, Katy Perry and Kraftwerk), Roskilde Festival, Secretly Canadian (releases with the likes of Whitney, Alex Cameron and Destroyer) and several music export offices (Music Finland, Music:LX, CEEntral Party, etc.) on a wide array of GSA-focussed projects. On the other hand we also work on supporting the interests of our clients outside of the GSA region (especially on neighbouring European markets such as Scandinavia, Benelux, UK and France). We thus currently work on international projects for clients such as c/o pop, FKP Scorpio and TUTL. We stick to what we know best – the music (knowing the trends, artists, events, consumer behaviors and professional decision-makers). We apply a both creative and advisory approach towards campaigns, communication and client relations (not just passive sales of standard services, but rather a creative case by case approach, and having the guts to contradict clients if their wishes make no sense when confronted by market realities).
