About the Role
The Music Curator will help curate the content ecosystem of Soundtrack by Twitch. You will maintain a broad and diverse editorial portfolio of playlists and radio stations, and you are comfortable working across multiple genres.
The Music Curator will also work with the Music Programming & Curation team to develop and test new editorial strategies for Soundtrack by Twitch. The Music Curator will also work with the Music Licensing, Product, and Operations teams to develop and support programs related to Soundtrack by Twitch.
You can work in San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; and New York, NY.
You Will:
- Create a diverse, high-quality curation portfolio (including playlists and stations).
- Design and promote new editorial projects.
- Achieve value-added recommendations to the team's editorial strategies.
- Use data and analytics to improve on-platform programming.
Requirements
You Have:
- 3+ years experience in music programming at a DSP/radio platform, in A&R, or in other music curation roles.
- Broad music knowledge with expertise in any of the following genres/formats: Indie, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Ambient, Instrumental, Latin, Country, or Metal.
- Passion for, and experience curating music from, up-and-coming and independent artists.
- Experience with metrics to improve music programming/curation efforts.
- Experience assuming project ownership and drive results.
- BS/BA required.
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of current trends in both music culture and the music industry.
- Technical experience with web-based tools; knowledge of data analytics.
- Experience working across cultures and languages.
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Can inspire passion in others.
- Familiarity with the Twitch community and gaming space.
