Media Buyer
Description
Premier Productions seeks music industry professionals to join our team as Media Buyer. This position will be an integral part of the marketing team tasked with developing and executing promotion and marketing strategies with radio, television and other media outlets for numerous live events with world-renowned artists and brands. The successful candidate will be a proven marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to collaborate with a wide variety of workgroups, media partners and external stakeholders while managing and executing a large volume of detailed, mission-critical campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and implement advertising and promotion campaigns to generate audience awareness and engagement, sales or upcoming events through radio, tv, streaming etc, efforts in conjunction with the Marketing team
- Develop marketing and advertising placement and promotions through radio, media, and content organizations. Create partnerships via trades and buying for multiple shows and tours, managing varying timelines and deadlines.
- Plan and implement daily and campaign activities in conjunction with Premier Productions Marketing, Talent-Project Manager Teams
- Manage and implement Radio spot and Video Spot Development
- Manage and develop relationships with media and advertising with both local and national
- Budget and Manage media activity-based show expenses
- Communicate with media partners (radio, TV, newspapers, out of home, digital, promotions, on- and off-site activations, etc.) to create and maintain an effective marketing plan that generates awareness from the time the show/tour is announced through the show completion date
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time employment experience in marketing and advertising working within the live events or entertainment industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Business, Public Relations or related field a plus
- Possess a strong understanding of event/concert promotion sales and media cycles
- Experience in negotiating and executing advertising and promotion contracts required
- Experience with handling small, medium, and large advertising budgets
- Experience communicating with media advertising departments and “on-air” talent
- Proficiency in Microsoft, Apple or Google Suite (drive, docs, spreadsheets, etc.) Dropbox
- Proficient in organization, planning, multitasking
- Must be able to work within a team
- Must be able to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of music, faith, sports, podcast, and family event audiences
- Must be able to handle large volume of work and be flexible and receptive to changing priorities
- Ability to effectively work independently and troubleshoot any issue
