The role
You would be joining a forward-thinking team that knows the rate of change in the industry and gets ahead of it. We want someone that can come in and help deliver amazing campaigns for an incredible roster. We need a team player, great communicator, and positive thinker. The Media and A&R Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the EMI Senior Director of Media & Artist Relations and A&R team as directed.
Key elements:
Media + Creative support, Artist Relations + Media Communications
  • Supporting + initiating creation of media assets and tools including but not limited to media releases, media pitches, bio and related material, commissioning of various aspects of photo, video and content shoots.
  • Support with capturing and editing video + photo content
  • Assist in artist relations, planning and execution of media schedules
  • Assist in organisation and communication of artist plans, music and assets to media and managing media databases
Operations + A&R
  • Oversee aspects of the creation of audio recordings by artists; hiring of studios/producers/engineers/mixers, musicians, liasing with artists and artist management.
  • Managing admin, storage and delivery of all A&R assets and paperwork in a timely manner
  • Supporting A&R team with detailed administration as directed

Requirements

About You

  • Liase confidently with stakeholders as directed
  • Act as an integral member of the EMI team with the ability to provide ideas and administrative support to consistently improve and develop own skills as well as the Department’s results
  • Understanding of the Australian media landscape and related social media and other digital platforms
  • A technically astute individual who has some experience of working in publicity and/or A&R in entertainment (ideally within Music Industry)
  • Passionate about music, artists and media landscape
  • Degree qualified desired, preferably in business, communications, marketing
  • Existing relationships extremely desirable
  • Highly organised with the ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels within the business
  • Tactful and diplomatic, especially when dealing with Artists and Management
  • Experience with basic level filming, editing for social media desired
  • Experience in commissioning/producing audio/visual content and assets desired
  • Software experience with Photoshop, HTML editors, video editing software such as Premiere, Final Cut, Premiere and Photoshop, excel/Google sheets, WordPress experience a bonus
  • Interest in pursuing a career in music industry a must
