Manager, Recording Studios
Description
- Manage and facilitate daily operation and maintenance of SMP’s Recording studios in their Hollywood, CA office
- Fulfill studio requests, maintain calendar of studio sessions, and assign audio engineers/studio assistants, ensuring optimal use of studio time and resources
- Support each session with production set up, technical needs, and breakdown with audio engineers/studio assistants, facilitate access to studios for songwriters/artists
- Ensure optimum operating condition of all facility equipment, including coordinating the inspection, repair, and maintenance of equipment
- Stay updated on new technologies and recommend upgrades or replacements as necessary
- Oversee that studios and lounge area are stocked, cleaned, and organized
- Maintain accurate records of studio sessions for billback purposes to songwriter/artist accounts and external invoicing, as appropriate
- Provide Purchase Orders to audio engineers for studio sessions, as appropriate
- Develop and oversee budget for repairs and maintenance of studio equipment and procurement of studio supplies and materials
- Oversee, manage, and train Studio Assistant(s) Supervise and train studio staff, including sound engineers and technicians
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and artists, address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally
- Investigate and resolve songwriter/artist related issues and complaints, maintain and monitor records of all incident reports
- Implement policies, procedures and programs to ensure company standards are maintained
- Handle sensitive & confidential information with discretion and the utmost professionalism
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of studio operations and facility management is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starting, resourceful collaborator with strong ability to identify problems and create solutions
- Detail oriented and strong follow-through skills
- Trained on medical devices located at facilities
- Proficient in Microsoft suite
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- 7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume may require extended/flexible working hours
