Manager, International Digital Strategy
Description
- Develop and execution of global marketing strategy for artists’ music and music-related products across the Interscope roster. These include but are not limited to: single / EP /albums, music videos and video content, merchandise and direct-to-consumer business.
- Oversee the day-to-day exUS influencer and content strategy for several artists.
- Build and liaise trusting and professional relationships with creators, creator management teams and creator agencies from around the world
- Create tracking links for campaigns and communicate learnings as appropriate
- Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work with different teams and team members to sell in ideas, communicate needs, and provide feedback on campaign strategy in both small and large settings.
- Build innovative campaigns to further our artists’ data capture, sales and advertising goals, and react to social analytics in order to improve the success of these campaigns.
- Develop single and album release digital marketing plans to help permeate the internet culture on a global level, across networks & messaging, DSP & playlisting communication, and music video rollout
- Have a strong passion and understanding for all short form platforms and what moves the needle with current trends and topics. Including but not limited too, fan communities, super fans, local culture conversations in key exUS markets.
- Build and liaise trusting and professional relationships with artists and artist management teams while creating the digital strategy for upcoming releases and off cycle opportunities.
- Manage artist web properties, reading and tweaking content strategy for those properties in reaction to analytics.
Requirements
- 3-4+ years experience working in the music or entertainment fields. Advanced understanding of how to utilize digital platforms for music releases.
- Have a minimum of 2+ years experience working and managing Influencer accounts across various genres.
- Be strategic and understand the value in paid and unpaid content collaborations for both Interscope, and our artists.
- Have a finger on the pulse of what’s going on in urban and pop culture, across key internet trends, apps, influencers, etc.
- Be organized and task-oriented; staying on top of asset deliverables, content calendars and overall strategy execution.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to read an audience and develop communication strategy depending on that audience across multiple markets and different cultures and languages.
- Effective collaboration with other members of the Digital Marketing and international team (as well as teams throughout the US company and globally.
- Able to read and react to trends in the social and online space.
- Intermediate user of image and video editing & design software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
- Quick learner who is able and excited to jump into and master new platforms, apps and services.
- Able to read basic analytics and develop plans and content in reaction to what the data observed is telling them.
- Demonstrated ability to develop content for online use.
- Experience writing copy and creation of photo/video content.
- Expert, native user of social media platforms.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel world wide
- BA or BS required.
