Description

We are looking for a smart, outgoing and innovative connector who will establish sustainable relationships with music labels, artists and music industry leaders. As a Label Relations Manager, you will be a key point of contact for our label partners and artists and provide the best music experience for our listeners.
This role can be based in Munich or Berlin (Germany).
Key job responsibilities:
  • Directly manage selected music record labels and artist relationships
  • Define and execute label/artist strategies that benefit all of our digital & physical Music customers
  • Be the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders as we devise and execute global marketing campaigns in tandem with other countries and our label partners, project managing these activities to a very high standard
  • Drive growth for the Amazon Music business through strategic initiatives Support new release planning and launch
  • Create unique new ways for labels and artists to reach their fans, driving innovation and industry education along the way
  • Contribute to various Amazon Music projects and launches from a content and analytics perspective
  • Help embed Amazon Music in local culture and community and drive/support initiatives on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)
A day in the life:
You will introduce innovative ideas and influence strategy at a cross-functional and multi-territory level, to connect customers through music, culture and community. The Label Relations Team drives collaborative efforts internally and externally around content launches, live-streams, events, music selection, growth projects, Diversity-Equity-Inclusion campaigns and cross-category promotions. In this role you will work closely with Marketing, Editorial & Programming, Original Content, Social Media, Live-Streaming, Content Acquisition, Music Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Legal & Finance and International teams, often acting as the primary owner of Music projects.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
  • Passion for music and digital innovations in music consumption
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build sustainable partnerships at a professional and interpersonal level
  • An entrepreneurial way of thinking and a strong hands-on, results driven mentality
  • Marketing and social media skills and a feel for customer needs
  • Demonstrated skill with numbers, analyses and reports including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A great deal of personal initiative, creativity, decisiveness and team spirit
  • Excellent German & English language skills
  • University degree
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant work experience in a music editorial, artist management, label, or other area of the music industry (radio, TV, streaming, or a related field)
  • MBA is a plus
