Big Dada is a label for Black, POC & Minority Ethnic artists, working together to form a community that champions, shines a light on, supports & nourishes the music & artists. Big Dada is seeking an enthusiastic and driven UK-based Label Assistant and Junior PM, to support our UK & US-based teams on a full-time basis. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is passionate about the mission behind Big Dada and is eager to grow and learn as the role develops. In addition to this, someone who does not mind rolling up their sleeves, to get things done in a team environment.
The role will report into the Big Dada Label Managers. The role will be focused on assisting with specific label support as well as day-to-day admin tasks in the Marketing and Project Management team, whilst also developing skills to be a future Project Manager. This will include but (not exclusive to):
  • Day to day general assisting of the Big Dada team and Project Managers across all
  • areas of artist campaigns.
  • Daily liaison with different team members to ensure smooth rollout of assets and artwork.
  • Global promo reports creation and delivery to internal / external teams
  • Assist Social Media Manager with asset creation & post planning.
  • Assist with communication with artist, Management and Label teams
  • Report to Label, Artist and Management teams on campaign progress
  • Responsible for creation and circulation of full, comprehensive, up to date promo reports
  • Responsible for writing, designing, and maintaining up-to-date artist one-sheets.
  • Responsible for sales notes (required for all physical releases minimum 6 weeks before release) and DSP pitching notes.
  • Responsible for taking and circulating comprehensive minutes during internal and external meetings.
  • Responsible for campaign research as directed.
General admin such as:
  • Booking couriers / cabs / travel / accommodation
  • Creating label copy and artwork copy checking
  • Lyric transcribing
  • Drafting format and announcement mails for releases + circulating to internal and external teams + circulating to internal and external teams
  • Updating release and announcement schedules
  • Processing invoices
  • Servicing watermarked audio
  • Ordering promo and watermarked CDR’s
  • Provide support for any Big Dada events as requested.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required for the role.

Requirements

About you:
  • Passionate about music with previous music industry experience, preferably within marketing
  • An awareness and interest in music marketing and campaigns.
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • Efficient, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The capability to learn efficiently with the ability to use own initiative when problem-solving.
  • Hardworking, enthusiastic, ambitious, and proactive.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deal with people politely at all levels.
  • IT Literate – good understanding in Google drive, sheets, docs, Word, Excel, Pages, Outlook and Windows-based packages. Design skills (HTML, Photoshop) would be considered a plus.
  • A basic / good understanding of the process of marketing products and /or services.
  • Having an interest in and understanding of social media trends.

Additional details:
  • Location: Remote on a temporary basis but may be a requirement to travel to our offices in Kennington (London) on an ad-hoc basis when safe to do so, subject to Covid Guidelines.
