THE ROLE
The Insomniac Music Group is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Marketing Manager to play an integral role in the daily operations and marketing of Insomniac’s Music Group. This position will work in-office at the Calabasas, CA location. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and create marketing plans related to designated artists, projects, & labels to include emphasis going forward on powerful pre-launch phases to maximize impact and awareness
  • Partner closely with the entire team, artists & managers and regularly communicates key marketing information and targets to internal and external partners
  • Develop and execute frontline track & album release marketing plans with a concentration on consumer-driven marketing
  • Develop and execute social media marketing strategies to increase the label's online presence and engagement
  • Manage marketing plan and strategy for label around club shows, concerts, and festivals
  • Manage social media budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize impact
  • Analyze week-to-week analytics and demonstrate agility to make content changes based on data
  • Be on top of new trends and techniques to execute the best and most forward-thinking campaigns for the roster, sharing actionable insights with the team
  • Ensure all information is accurately communicated to all internal departments regarding release plans, changes, developments etc.
  • Hire and manage independent marketing companies to facilitate record label's marketing/promotional efforts
  • Secure strategic marketing placements and opportunities with outside corporate and entertainment partners
  • Plan and execute internal influencer marketing campaigns to increase track reach and influence
  • Report on key statistics around audience growth and virality
  • Strategize independently and in teams on creative content ideas for artists
  • Organize and attend shoots with artists to film content
  • Edit content and obtain relevant approvals for posting
  • Recruit, train and onboard members on the marketing team both directly and partnering teams

Requirements

Qualifications
  • 5+ years relevant working experience in marketing, and/or music
  • Exceptionally high attention to detail working in a fast paced environment
  • Deep knowledge of electronic music, artists, genres, culture, and Insomniac brands
  • Excel at branded writing (marketing in the voice/tone of a distinct brand, character, etc.)
  • Ability to multitask on fast-paced timelines, adapt quickly to change, and field requests from different teams simultaneously
  • Ability to systematically execute on tight deadlines
  • Experience with marketing, Photoshop, HTML, Google Analytics preferred
  • Adaptability to execute tasks off-hours at short notice if needed
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
  • May work in drastic temperature climates on site at our events
  • Must be willing to frequently work and travel to events during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines and work events
