About Amazon Music, Head Of Country Music Amazon Music is fast becoming one of the major global players in digital music. We are changing the way customer enjoy music through Amazon Music Unlimited and Prime Music. This team is responsible for innovating on the content in the service and managing strong relationships with our external Music partners.
As the Head of Country Music, you will partner with our key label partners to provide the best music experience for our customers. Label Relations own the existing music relationships, drive collaborative efforts internally and externally around content launches, events, and promotions, and negotiate business terms to drive healthy margins. Label Relations Managers work closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Content Acquisition, Operations, and International teams.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to Think Big in a white space business
  • 5+ years of experience in buying, account management, product management, project management, financial analysis and/or marketing
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management and meeting deadlines
  • Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities with small and large vendor partners
  • Experience communicating complex business concepts in verbal and written form
  • Strong quantitative analysis, problem solving and project management skills
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence others, with data driven arguments
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast paced environment
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude; willingness to roll up sleeves and dig deep to achieve goals
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools, familiarity with database analysis and/or SQL
  • Relevant experience in Digital Entertainment
  • Previous managerial experience
  • MBA preferred
