Growth Manager
Description
- Your mission will be to implement and roll out the growth strategy with the goal of driving both free and paid subscriber growth
- Main objectives are to engage and retain free users and convert as many as possible to paid users
- Implement marketing campaigns on owned media channels to drive subscriber growth across the Spotify Premium portfolio and/or engage current free users
- Work with existing team on this process from brainstorming to planning, briefing, asset creation, asset trafficking throughout owned channels (email, in-app notifications, etc.), campaign analysis, and overall project management
- Understand customer, industry, and competitor trends/behaviours in market (macro, external, internal). Based on that, you will identify growth opportunities
- Additionally, you will optimize subscriber growth along the whole conversion funnel – from Direct marketing to payment, onboarding, migration and retention. You work with global internal teams and selected external partners to drive those initiatives
- Work closely with other teams, especially local consumer marketing, Artist and label partnerships, and business development. That's how you ensure maximum growth across all the business levers that we have at our disposal
- You will also work with the wider Freemium team, globally- based to address challenges in conversion, payment, engagement, retention, etc
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of working experience with relevant industry experience in an online consumer business (streaming services, e-commerce, online media or a tech start-up)
- Have worked on digital marketing campaigns and CRM before
- Comfortable to roll up your sleeves and driving things yourself – no matter if it's programming an email, pulling some queries or quickly adjusting an image in Photoshop. We're looking for self-starters who want to get things done and don't wait for others to do the job
- Ability in using various tools to analyze, test, and implement online marketing activities (e.g. Google Analytics, email management/CRM, SQL) and possess the core technical skills needed or are otherwise a quick learner (e.g. basic HTML editing, running simple SQL queries, etc.)
- Speak proficient English and business-level Japanese
- Good knowledge and insights into the Japanese (online) consumer market and media landscape
- Comfortable to work remotely from other team members, but even so, able to stay in sync and influence internal team members by being an excellent communicator
- Have a proven record of leading and driving projects independently and getting things done in a cross-functional organization. You will not always have direct control of all the resources, but you still get the job done
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree or a similar degree from a top-ranked school
