Global Social Media Lead - Always On
Description
- Co-manage a global social calendar for the brand socials
- Use human, cultural, and audience insights to develop reactive social concepts to be implemented by the team or supporting agencies
- Help prepare briefs, positioning, and strategic materials for the Always On social team, socializing with cross-functional partners
- Collaborate with international regional counterparts on big initiatives, content franchises, talent opportunities, and key asset sharing.
- Lead the RFP/briefing process for development for paid and organic placements including: social content and brand appropriate tone-of-voice, websites, and platform specific content (vertically optimized, AR/VR, lenses, filters etc.)
- Work cross-functionally within the Social verticals (Talk - Live/Podcasts, Product, Global, Music) to ensure we’re amplifying and planning around all key beats
- Work with Associate Director to build social campaigns/franchises that drive towards goals of our fandoms and keep their communities engaged
- Apply relevant metrics and partner with the media team to develop brand and media plans that effectively promote and elevate Spotify social channels.
- Support cross-functional team planning across campaigns by participating in key meetings, developing project recaps and updates using project documents such as trackers, timelines, status reports, budget, review, etc to ensure execution against goals
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working in a marketing position
- 4+ years of experience in digital/social media marketing
- 2+ years of experience working in a global structure
- You are innately organized, with an ability to prioritize the demands of working in cross-functional environments. You are the best project manager you know.
- You’re not only a social power user, you’re a marketing expert! You possess a keen understanding of how social media is used to meet company metrics
- You have an ability to distill complex cultural moments and conversations into practical strategies and qualitative concepts for peers.
- You are deeply aware of the responsibility that comes with leading social media for a global brand, as well as the nuance and implications that come with such responsibility.
- You love to collaborate and possess the ability to work with external collaborators and agency partners across a variety of marketing subject areas.
- You know what makes for excellent social campaigns and can confidently (and patiently) communicate your point of view, ranging from feedback to selling a new idea.
- Foundation in strategy, positioning and target audiences for consumer campaigns at scale
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills. Able to present ideas simply in presentations and documents across a range of perspectives
- Brings a highly strategic and analytical approach to decisions and problem solving
