Events Manager
Description
- Manage all logistics and day-to-day operations of project and event-based initiatives.
- Event Management: Event space and hotel booking, logistics, and F&B ordering, keeping with current contractual obligations, for ongoing and yearly events such as the annual GRAMMY Awards, GP summit, holiday parties, B2B networking events, volunteer events, end-of-season events.
- Road Trip Management: all logistical planning for partners to attend specific Kings and Galaxy road games in other cities including airfare booking, accommodations, and transportation as well as sourcing activities for partners that is a highlight to the given city to help create a one-of-a-kind experience for our partners. Detailed communication between Partners, including a Know Before You Go, and key staff, including a Run of Show.
- Festivals Management: All logistical planning for partners and staff attending yearly Festivals related to airfare booking, hotel accommodations, and onsite shuttle transportation.
- Responsible for managing all event budgets and event contracts in accordance with asset owner guidelines, putting all charges to the department P card, and working with finance to project event expenses as well as reconciling expenses during and post event.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) Hospitality Management, Project Management, Communications, Public Relations
- 4-6 years Related experience
- Experience with CRM, Photoshop, Google Docs, and task management systems is preferred
- Project management skills preferred
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and projects at once
- Skill in balancing both strategic and administrative activities
- Strong event planning experience including operations & design with advanced Photoshop skill preferred
- Excellent at relationship building and people skills
- Possess strong problem-solving skills
- Proactive and have the ability to work independently without the need for supervision
- Ability to handle minor lifting and load/unload merchandise
- Must be fully capable and proficient in Microsoft Office/Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; ability to learn required business systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Resourceful and able to resolve issues that arise
- Exceptional problem solving skills
