District Manager (sales) - Commercial Audio and NEXO

Yamaha Corporation of America is looking for a District Manager for our Commercial Audio and NEXO segment. The ideal candidate would be located near metro New York City. Region for this position includes: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
- Execute a sales plan resulting in long-term optimization of distribution within the assigned territory
- Meet or exceed sales objectives
- Develop key relationships in the market
- Collect product feature and design needs from key influencers
- Train and assist channel partners in various business areas including:
  • Capture of up-funnel lead sources
  • Partnering with the Field Sales Engineering and Institutional Channel teams
  • Relationship management
  • Professional sales techniques and strategies
  • Alignment of business practices with Yamaha and NEXO terms and conditions
  • Financial services and programs
  • Payment term and customer finance choices
- Perform other duties and participate in projects as needed

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience in commercial audio market(s)
  • Must live within the territory

  • Travel required approximately 75% of the time. Occasional weekend travel required
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be able to attain a valid passport
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in audio production, recording, live mixing or related field
  • Commercial audio sales experience
  • Familiarity with Yamaha and NEXO product lines
  • Appreciation and basic understanding of various styles of music
  • Salesforce CRM
