District Manager (sales) - Commercial Audio and NEXO
Description
Yamaha Corporation of America is looking for a District Manager for our Commercial Audio and NEXO segment. The ideal candidate would be located near metro New York City. Region for this position includes: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
Responsibilities:
- Execute a sales plan resulting in long-term optimization of distribution within the assigned territory
- Meet or exceed sales objectives
- Develop key relationships in the market
- Collect product feature and design needs from key influencers
- Train and assist channel partners in various business areas including:
- Capture of up-funnel lead sources
- Partnering with the Field Sales Engineering and Institutional Channel teams
- Relationship management
- Professional sales techniques and strategies
- Alignment of business practices with Yamaha and NEXO terms and conditions
- Financial services and programs
- Payment term and customer finance choices
- Perform other duties and participate in projects as needed

Ideal Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency selling and marketing techniques
- Proven sales experience in commercial audio market(s)
- Must live within the territory

- Passion for selling commercial audio and loudspeaker systems
- Quickly learns and applies new technology
- Proficient computer skills
- Travel required approximately 75% of the time. Occasional weekend travel required
- Must have valid driver’s license and be able to attain a valid passport
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in audio production, recording, live mixing or related field
- Commercial audio sales experience
- Familiarity with Yamaha and NEXO product lines
- Appreciation and basic understanding of various styles of music
- Salesforce CRM
