Director of Product
Description
- Develop and articulate the product management vision and strategy, aligning it with the overall company goals and market trends.
- Lead and inspire a team of product managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Provide mentorship and guidance to drive professional growth and excellence within the team.
- Drive the development of a comprehensive and actionable product roadmap, prioritising features and enhancements based on customer insights, market analysis, and business objectives.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and guide the development of future product offerings.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment throughout the product development process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, 3rd party instrument developers, partners, and industry influencers, to gather feedback, validate product direction, and drive customer-centric innovation.
- Lead successful product launches, working closely with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of product launches and ongoing product performance. Utilize data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and inform future product decisions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and manage the product management budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to drive product innovation and growth.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in product leadership, ideally within the music technology industry or related fields.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business goals.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of product managers and cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of the music production and performance market, including knowledge of software and hardware products, industry trends, and customer needs.
- Solid technical background with the ability to understand and effectively collaborate with engineering teams to drive product innovation.
- A customer-centric mindset with a demonstrated ability to translate customer insights into actionable product features and enhancements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to utilize data and market insights to drive informed decision-making.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred). c
