Creative Manager, A&R
Description
- Collaborate with senior A&R in coordinating day to day functions related to artists. (ie. writing sessions, collecting music, creating DISCO’s and co-ordinating assets and logistics with A&R’s and managers.)
- Scout talent at the direction of senior A&R team members.
- Coordinate artist submissions for signing with senior A&R mentor / reporting manager.
- Attend London shows and events where unsigned artists will be performing, at the direction of senior A&R team members in the EU and UK.
- Shadow contract negotiations lead by senior A&R team mentor
- Build contacts in the writer/producer spaces – publishers, management companies, etc
- Support the Sr. UK and EU A&R team with their artists needs during the creative process – ie. suggesting appropriate co-writers, introducing management and keeping an eye on sessions and new music as it’s created.
- Coordinate, alongside A&R and Management, the needs of international acts who are visiting the UK and EU (i.e. writing sessions)
- Manage and build a network within the music industry.
- Attend relevant artist related meetings (Nettwerk departmental and outside parties)
- Use proprietary Nettwerk data tools to scout for potential signings, drawing up regular lists for senior A&R to act upon
- Maintain and update contacts and signing status artists in our current tracking system
- Scout via social media in the genres that Nettwerk participates in
Requirements
- 2+ years of industry music industry experience
- Basic understanding of record label contract processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen sensibility and connection to artist community
- Deep passion for music and a keen industry in developing talent
