Description
We are seeking a Post Production Coordinator enthusiast to add to the UCAN (U.S. & Canada) Nonfiction Post Production Team in Los Angeles. In this pivotal support role, you will assist Netflix Post Production Directors by coordinating and facilitating the daily operations required to oversee a diverse slate of Nonfiction titles produced by external production companies. As a Post Department Coordinator/Assistant, you will serve as a central point of contact, connecting team members, coordinating initiatives, tracking progress, managing calendars, and organizing essential post-production information and workflows from pre-production through post and wrap. Additionally, you will provide administrative support and contribute to ongoing internal projects in collaboration with cross-departmental teams at Netflix, ensuring seamless communication and efficient workflow management throughout the process.
The Role
A successful candidate will be self-motivated, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, thorough and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail at all times. This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone who is a proactive and positive thinker, and able to exercise good judgment and communication. Prior experience in post production is not a prerequisite, but is preferred. A general proclivity towards and interest in learning new software and new data management tools is a must.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Coordinate and schedule meetings for Post Production Directors, maintaining and updating calendars across the Unscripted, Documentary, and LIVE verticals for multiple Nonfiction Post Directors.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support by managing the planning and execution of special projects as assigned.
- Organize and support team functions, including small group gatherings and larger meetings, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
- Arrange and book travel accommodations for team members, and manage the creation and submission of expense reports.
- Collaborate and align with assistants and coordinators across the entire Nonfiction production organization to ensure streamlined communication and workflow.
- Provide dedicated support to the LIVE team, including setting up and taking detailed notes during technical meetings.
- Assist with content management by pulling clips of live sports content for partners upon request.
- Help track and support the workflow of packages for LIVE events, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Accept and manage media deliveries of licensed LIVE events, maintaining organized records.
- Proactively seek out, learn, and master various proprietary Netflix software tools to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 1+ year as an assistant, preferably with entertainment experience specifically on a Production/Post Production team or equivalent freelance “in the field” experience as a Production/Post Assistant.
- Ability to handle a fast paced environment assisting on several projects in various points of production (from development through delivery).
- Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides and Google Mail
- Overall technical prowess with motivation to expand your knowledge base
- Ability to respond after hours for important, timely or urgent matters and be discrete in maintaining confidential information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task
- Willingness to continue learning to ensure understanding of the current post-processing

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $50,000 - $235,000. This market range is based on total compensation (vs. only base salary), which is in line with our compensation philosophy.
