Business Affairs Coordinator
Description
Marcom is Apple’s Global Marketing group. We oversee all of Apple’s advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications. The role of an Apple Music Business Affairs Coordinator in Marcom is to drive the planning, clearance, and/or licensing of rights-managed content appearing in Marcom’s deliverables. In this role, you will be working with internal and external partners to secure relevant content for deeper customer resonance and engagement. You thrive on collaborating and building productive relationships, using your emotional intelligence to determine the right way to engage partners within a highly matrixed organization.
- You will review materials containing Apple Music and other artist IP, identify rights, traffic assets, facilitate communication between multiple stakeholders across the company, provide strategic options to internal teams, and license content with relevant rights holders for marketing and advertising use.
- You will partner with Legal as needed to assess risk.
- You will coordinate with Apple Music Marketing, Editorial, Artist Relations, and Label Relations teams to stay apprised of anticipated music releases, learn marketing priorities, communicate project updates, and solve problems as they relate to music projects.
- You will facilitate internal communication between teams so projects move forward (flag legal issues, content constraints, timing, etc.).
- You will maintain effective communication with team leads to make sure information flows properly, action items are clear, and issues are escalated at the right time and to the right people.
- You will maintain detailed documentation and trackers around clearances and licenses at Apple’s high standards.
Requirements
- You have a minimum of 3+ years relevant experience in the music industry and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment managing multiple projects at once.
- You have expertise in building credibility, rapport, and productive relationships across functions in a large organization.
- You have the ability to exercise sound strategic, legal, and business judgment in challenging situations.
- You have demonstrated skills in the following areas: concise and clear written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and innovative problem solving.
- You are a self-started with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects.
- You have deep knowledge and understanding of Apple products and services.
- You are curious, ask questions, and dig deep to find solutions.
- You react quickly to new information, opinions, and direction, strategically pivoting when necessary.
