Audio Engineer

We are ... GGRP Sound, an award winning sound studio located in Vancouver BC. We've been making a whole lot of noise for more than 50 years - first as the home of hair metal, then as a nifty jingle house, and finally as the premiere sound studio you see today. We focus primarily on commercial voice recording, but also do extensive work in animation, audio books, video games, and music.
**You are ... **an experience audio engineer (and amazing human) that really wants to work for us :). You are able to work quickly and effectively, on the fly; you're a good communicator and enjoy working directly with clients.; you are someone that is comfortable jumping in with other tasks, as needed; and you're just a generally nice person.
Responsibilities:
- Fulfilling all technical requirements for any sessions you are engineering (e.g. from prep, to recording voice, to mix/sound design, to final delivery of files)
- Communicating directly with any clients, directors, producers, etc. associated with a session.
- Occasional light duties: answer phones, get coffee/lunch, recycle equipment, website/social media posting, and other misc.
Requirements
- Proficient with Avid ProTools
- Relevant experience and/or education with audio post production
- 1+ years min. of relevant studio experience
- Familiarity with Source Connect, IPDTL, and ISDN is a plus.
