Job Description
Blizzard Entertainment is looking for an organized and proactive Associate Producer to support music and scoring production across all our franchises. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Senior Music Producer to manage schedules, facilitate deliverables, and support the overall music production pipeline. You'll also assist in coordinating with internal teams and external partners, including composers, recording studios, and contractors, to ensure the successful execution of Blizzard’s musical vision.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine, CA. However, we understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore other possible options, including remote work arrangements.
This is a 12-month temporary position.
What You Bring To The Table
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior Music Producer in maintaining music production schedules across all franchises.
  • Coordinate and track contract requests, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Assist with music pre-production, planning, and logistical needs.
  • Maintain organized archives of all music-related assets and documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling and supporting recording sessions, including booking musicians, studios, engineers, and other personnel.
  • Communicate production status and updates to the Senior Music Producer and Music Director.
  • Attend recording sessions to assist the Senior Music Producer, Music Director, and composers.
  • Manage ASCAP/BMI registrations and maintain music rights databases.
  • Perform additional tasks or duties as needed to support the department.

Requirements

Experience
Minimum Requirements:
1+ years of experience in AAA game development or equivalent music production environment. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and attention to detail.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Solid knowledge of music production and scoring workflows within the entertainment industry.
Key Attributes
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for video games and an understanding of game development pipelines.
Extra Points
  • Familiarity with Blizzard games and their musical identity.
  • Experience working with external audio vendors and scoring contractors.
  • Familiarity with various audio, graphic, and video file formats.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $24.04 - $44.47 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
