The Creative Associate Directors are ultimately responsible for meeting all packaging, POP, advertising & digital deadlines by servicing as a liaison between the Creative department and Release Planning, Supply Chain, Product Management, Pre-Press, and the Executive Departments.
What you'll do: Supervision and Department Maintenance Review and traffic all art mechanicals (cover comps, packaging, POP, and advertising) Prioritize, brief and schedule all creative assignments to dept Coordinate details and deadlines with creative staff / other departments / vendors Ensure proper and efficient departmental workflow Issue purchase orders in Adapt for all pre-press and GA work Responsible for setting up & managing job management & request system Supply art directors, freelancers, and interns with creative briefs, correct templates, due dates and review each project Handle/ create/ oversee art direction / coordinate corporate special events, presentations projects, annual conventions, and special requests Assist both internal and external creatives with additional design support where needed
Troubleshooting and "Firefighting" Foresee possible obstacles, take precautions for rush projects Ensures delivery of goods for last minute projects - do no matter what it takes to keep release date Indicate, resolve and/or field difficulties on past due projects (e.g. already late and have last minute changes or corrections/corrupt files etc - scramble to fix what is broken) Delivery of Files Upload final digital files for print, pop, retail, international outlets for production Create and deliver files for AOMA ingestion Service all internal and external users with visual media (e.g. send files to publications, internal dept, video prod for articles, artwork, TV spots etc. Convert files into required formats per request Communicate all aspects of art elements between designer, RR Donnelley, production & international (spec's, delivery of proof and confirmation of transmittal to printer & AOMA); inform designer as to which plants are to be used due to the varying of template requirements Transmit sticker files to printer(s); obtain and provide sticker positioning to production Information and status update so that production can inform supply chain of confirmed data


Who you are: At least 4-5 years of experience working within an entertainment setting, music industry a huge plus Have a wide network of creatives to utilize and develop your concepts Self-directed, driven, and capable of managing competing priorities under tight timelines Interest in new design trends and methods to create and improve workflow and broaden creative ideologies Be able to have both exciting and hard conversations with artists from all genres to bring their ideas to life Ability to hit on different aesthetics for a wide variety of artists Ability to work independently and in a team setting both in-person and virtual Ability to work within both east and west coast time zones
