We are searching for an Artist Marketing Manager based Shanghai. This position will be responsible of maintain and develop the network of artists, musicians and producers for FMIC brand and its products.
Essential Functions
  • Develop 3-year-strategic plan for Fender China Artist Marketing, including: number of artists, genre, tier, supporting program & KPI.
  • Maintain existing artist relationships, explore, and recruit new relationships to Fender family.
  • Closely collaborate with brand marketing and ecommerce to identify key artists for brand campaigns, events, content, social and ecommerce initiatives. Contribute authentic creative input from artist perspective.
  • Develop artist product programs, including but not limited to artist signature products, artist mod-shop, artist seeding and artist purchase program. Support artists with their product requirements.
  • Establish, manage and build an effective, on-going, artist feedback process on products to deepen Fender China’s understanding of professional user experiences, product concepts, strategies and overall brand positioning efforts.
  • Own and drive the Fender China Artist Marketing dashboard including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of activation, stage presence, social media exposure/performances and other presentations and reports as needed.
  • Close communication with US, EMEA, APAC artist marketing teams to localize artist content, support global artists’ China tour/performance/appearances.
  • Lead annual Fender Next Campaign from China side.
  • Collaborate with operation marketing manager to plan and manage artist seeding inventory & artist marketing budget.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in similar role for China relevant, consumer-driven brands and/or agencies in Music, Lifestyle, Fashion/Luxury Goods and/or Media.
  • Experienced and comfortable of communicating with artist and musicians directly with professional manner
  • Expert level knowledge and passionate about Fender brand and products. A guitar and/or bass player.
  • Ability to effectively work with artists, business team, product team, and vendors. Capability of juggling a multitude of tasks with varying deadlines. Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Language: Full bilingual capability both in English and Chinese.
  • Education: University Degree required; bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, design or a related field or the equivalent level of experience preferred.
