PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
My Friend Maisy is a brand new 2D animated preschool series from BBC Studios. Based on Lucy Cousins’ bestselling books, the show uses visual storytelling without dialogue to engage young audiences.
As Content Producer you will develop and deliver ancillary, short form content for digital platforms. You will ensure we achieve the highest creative and editorial standards, deliver on time and on budget, and adhere to BBC guidelines.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work with a much loved children’s brand; helping to build the brand’s online presence and shape content for preschool audiences.
Working alongside the team producing the main show, you will lead the short-form project from an editorial perspective. You will be the conduit and key point of contact for the animation studio, Trustbridge Entertainment who own the brand, and internal stakeholders. You will sign off storyboards and visuals and ensure the look and tone remain aligned with the brand and it’s values.
Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
  • Plan, schedule, and deliver high-quality content while making day-to-day editorial decisions
  • Ensure all content aligns with BBC Editorial Guidelines, is on-brand, inclusive, and resonates with the target audience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, technical teams, designers, internal and external partners, and contributors
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively within agreed limits
  • Uphold BBC compliance policies and confidently provide feedback to partners and stakeholders

Requirements

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience of working on an animated children’s series and expert knowledge of the animation production pipeline
  • Experience of producing content for preschool audiences
  • Proven ability to develop and generate fresh ideas and deliver high-quality content across multiple platforms
  • Strong understanding of editorial guidelines, compliance policies, and commitment to accuracy and impartiality.
  • Experience of managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and applying sound editorial judgment and effective solutions under pressure
  • Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders and talent, providing direct feedback to ensure creative ambition is met and budget is adhered to
